Event Overview

Join us for the Bromsgrove Olympique Cycling Club’s annual Reliability Ride, a great way to test your fitness and endurance as we prepare for the upcoming cycling season. This event is perfect for seasoned riders and club members looking for a challenging, sociable ride.

Starting and finishing at the Guide Hut on Kidderminster Rd, riders can choose between two routes:

  • 101km option, which includes the iconic Fish Hill for an extra challenge.

  • 95km route for those who prefer a slightly shorter ride, bypassing the hill.

Event Details
  • Sign-On and Start Time: Registration opens at 9:30am. Riders are encouraged to arrive early, sign in, and enjoy some light refreshments before setting off.

  • Refreshments: Complimentary tea, coffee, and cakes will be provided at the Guide Hut before departure and available again on your return. Join us for a post-ride gathering to share stories over coffee and cake.

  • Support from Members: We kindly ask club members to contribute by bringing donations of homemade or store-bought cakes to share with participants. Your support makes these events memorable and helps foster our community spirit.

Important Notes
  • On the day of the reliability ride, Bromsgrove Olympique's usual club rides will be on pause, ensuring maximum participation and support for the event.

  • Riders are expected to carry their own spare tubes, tools, and nutrition to manage any potential issues on the route.

  • While this is a non-competitive event, we ask participants to ride responsibly, follow road safety guidelines, and be considerate of fellow cyclists.

Entry and Charity Contribution

The cost to join the ride is £5 per rider, with all profits going to a local charity. Your participation not only tests your readiness for the season but also supports a local vital cause.
