Become a member of BOCC

BOCC welcomes anyone who is interested in Cycling as a sport or pastime. It won’t matter how fit you are or what your goals are, or even what age, BOCC will always try and make you welcome.

Full membership is £15 per year for adults and £10 per year for under 18 year olds.


What is the membership period?

The membership period runs for 1 calendar year (Starting on 1st January until the end of December). New members joining after 1st October are deemed full members until the following year end.

 

Can I try you out first?

You are welcome to join BOCC for 2 or 3 club group rides without having to be a member.

How do I become a member?

The best way to join our club is contacting us directly so we can get your details and provide payment information directly. 

If you are a British Cycling member or are considering also joining British Cycling you may wish to join BOCC via the British Cycling site. To do so, please continue to the BOCC Club Profile page on the British Cycling web site then select the “Join our Club” tab. Please note that British Cycling charge £1 per transaction to cover card processing charges which is non-refundable.

Please note that you do not need to join British Cycling in order to join BOCC.

Do I need third party insurance?

All members should have third party liability insurance in case of a claim by a driver or another cyclist during a club event or activity. Third party insurance cover is included as part of membership to Cycling UK; or via British Cycling’s Member and Premier membership options, formerly known as Silver and Gold membership respectively.  Please check their documents for levels of coverage to make sure that you are appropriately covered for cycling activities organised by the club.

What you get as a member of BOCC
  • Join in all the club’s cycling and social activities

  • Represent the club in open races organised under the rules of bodies such as Cycling Time Trials and British Cycling

  • Take part in club time trials

  • Obtain advice and coaching

  • Buy and wear club kit (with a discount)

  • Have a say in the way the club is run, by voting at the club’s general meetings

Data Protection and Privacy Policy

Persons joining the Club, renewing membership or entering events promoted by the Club consent to the club collecting, storing and using personal data as described in the Club’s Data Protection and Privacy Policy.

Notes:

Acceptance and awareness of the club’s constitution, policies and guidelines is a condition of membership.

​

Young Riders 16 and under require parental consent before attending any BOCC activity or ride. (Form available here).
